Defences proved the winners at Stair Park as neither Stranraer nor Annan Athletic could find a goal.
The two sides drew in the previous meeting at Galabank and the spoils were shared again in the return fixture.
Manager Chris Aitken made one change from their last game as Aaron Quigg came into the team in place of Lewis Hunter.
It was a quiet opening with both teams cancelling each other out for large chunks of the game.
It was not until midway through the first half that either team truly threatened a shot on target.
Dominic Plank collected Beejay Coll’s throw in and strode towards goal unchallenged.
He managed to get his shot away but it was wide of the target.
Annan’s only real opening in the first half was another shot from distance but Cammy Clark’s low shot was also wide of the goal with Max Currie scrambling.
Stranraer, who had been forced into a change towards the end of the first half when Kirk McKnight replaced Matty Gillies, who had suffered a head knock, created the first chance of the second half.
Again, Plank was at the heart of it.

Good play on the right saw the ball worked to the on-loan Hearts man and his shot was on target until Scott Hooper threw himself in the way.
Annan were always going to be dangerous thanks to the delivery of player/manager Willie Gibson.
He floated a corner into the box and former Stranraer man Tommy Muir headed down into the turf.
Substitute Danny McManus was in the right place to block on the line and the Blues managed to scramble the ball clear.
It was another replacement who had a chance to put the home side in front.
Ronan Hughes saw a cross blocked and when it fell to Evan Dunne he drilled it across the six-yard box.
Substitute Corey O’Donnell stuck out a boot but could not generate enough power and Charlie Albinson made the save.
Finally, Annan had a chance to win the contest at the very end.
Aidan Smith’s free-kick into the box was flicked on by Hooper and looked like it was heading in until it hit substitute Joel Mumbongo and bounced wide of the post.
