Scott Agnew has provided the following message for the club’s supporters, staff and squad.
“Now that it’s been a few days, I want to express my gratitude to all at Stranraer FC for the opportunity to manage such a fantastic football club.
“My thanks go to the committee and chairman for having the faith and trust in me.
“I appreciate the players, who gave their all, and to the supporters who stood by us through the highs and lows.
“Throughout my time here, I have always strived to act with honesty, dignity, and respect. There’s a few reasons for me stepping aside when i did, however ultimately we weren’t progressing the way I had hoped on the pitch.
“The experiences I’ve had, both as a player and manager at Stranraer have been special and I’m thankful for every moment, none more than the playoff final at Stair Park last May.
“Players and managers will come and go, but the club and its supporters are the true constants and should always remain the top priority.
“I hope to see you all at Robbo and Gal’s testimonial in October.
“I wish the new manager and players nothing but success for the rest of this season and beyond.”
