Managerial career: Stranraer (interim), East Kilbride, Kilwinning Rangers

Following a long career in the SPFL, Chris Aitken made 151 appearances at Stranraer between 2011 and 2016, scoring 33 goals during one of the most successful spells in the club’s recent history.

This was followed by four seasons as assistant manager at Stair Park – first under Brian Reid, then Stevie Farrell, before managing at East Kilbride and Kilwinning Rangers.

‘Tiff’ was appointed as the new Blues boss after the departure of Scott Agnew, recording four points out of six available so far.

Having recorded over 150 appearances for Stranraer, Stevie Aitken led the club to League One survival in the 2012/13 season, before consecutive promotion playoff finishes in 2013/14 and 2014/15.

After a memorable three years in the dugout at Stair Park, ‘Ginge’ replaced Ian Murray at Dumbarton, maintaining their Championship status over two seasons and leading the Sons to the Challenge Cup Final, before a spell with brother Chris at East Kilbride.

Now assistant to his brother after returning to Stair Park at the end of September.
