We can confirm that Sean McIntosh has been released from his contract at his own request.
After launching his own business, Sean has found it increasingly difficult to commit to the travel demands of the club, and steps away with our full support.
‘Shifty’ has been an immensely popular figure both in the dressing room and the terraces at Stair Park since joining us in 2021, making 104 appearances for the Blues across four seasons.
A first team regular from day one, the defender’s consistency earned him the Player’s Player of the Year award for the 2022/23 season.
Sean’s magnificent mazy run and finish against East Kilbride in the playoff first leg was the turning point in the tie, and will be long remembered.
Sean provided the following message for supporters: “Just want to say a huge thanks for all the support over the years.
“It’s been a wild ride with plenty of ups, downs, and unforgettable memories like the playoffs that’ll stick with me forever.
“I’ve been lucky to be part of a special group with some absolute legends behind the scenes.
“Wishing you all nothing but the best for what’s ahead – mon blue.”
Everyone at Stair Park would like to thank Sean for his outstanding service and wish him every success in the future.
