We are delighted to welcome former Annan Athletic winger Chris Johnston to the club on a deal which runs until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Chris will need very little introduction for Blues supporters, having turned out against Stranraer on several occasions in recent seasons – including scoring in the Galabank side’s 3-0 win at Stair Park in August 2021.
Scott Agnew moved quickly to sign the playmaker following his departure, and will hope to benefit from his extensive SPFL experience with Kilmarnock, Raith Rovers, Dumbarton, Peterhead and Clyde.
Rising through the youth ranks at Rugby Park, the Scotland Under 19s cap played regular top flight football over four seasons before two years in the Championship with Raith and Dumbarton.
More recently, the 29 year old made over 140 appearances en route to becoming a firm favourite for Annan, scoring 14 goals over two spells and helping them to promotion.
Having recently played his football in League One, Chris will join us at the beginning of the transfer window on New Year’s Day.
