Lewis Dobbie is determined to help Stranraer get back to winning ways when Stirling Albion visit The LIME Stadium at Stair Park.
The top-of-the-table clash with Clyde finished in a goalless stalemate last weekend as Stranraer remained top of League Two.
Time will tell whether it proves to be a point gained or two points dropped.
On Saturday, Dobbie and his team-mates welcome Stirling Albion.
The reverse fixture saw Stranraer two goals up at half time before their rivals fought back to rescue a point.
Dobbie said: “I definitely think that was two points dropped.
“Going 2-0 up, they scored as soon as the second half started and we definitely should have won that.
“But we will be looking to make it three on Saturday.
“If we get that, then the point against Clyde starts to look better.”

One positive to come out of the trip to Forthbank was Dobbie finding the net for the first time in a Stranraer shirt.
Since then, he has added another seven goals to his tally to become the club’s top scorer.
He said: “I think that goal was really important.
“Stirling was my first goal and last season my first league goal was against Stirling as well.
“It seems to be every time I play against them!
“I think that was a starting point for me, getting off the mark.
“I went on a bit of a run and seem to be doing quite well.
“Hopefully, I can get back on the scoresheet.
“That is eight for the season so far and I am setting my aim on wanting to hit double figures as soon as possible and going from there.”

Dobbie was one of a number of new faces in the home dressing room in Stranraer at the beginning of the season.
The frontman was very close to joining 12 months earlier but opted to go to East Kilbride.
However, he kept in contact with Martin Fellowes and made the move this summer instead.
He said: “The manager, Stevie Aitken and Martin, the coaching staff, have been really good since I came in.
“They want me to have a platform to play.
“I have had the added recognition with leadership and being the captain.
“For me, as a young player, I did not expect that, only being 20, I did not expect that at all.”
Last meeting
A game of two halves saw Stranraer lead 2-0 before going on to pick up just a point.
Lewis Dobbie smashed home before the half hour mark before Evan Dunne scored from Finn Ecrepont’s corner.
Stranraer had further chances but could not find what surely would have been a decisive third. Instead, Stirling would pull themselves level early in the second half. Jordan Allan halved the deficit as Stranraer failed to clear the ball, and Daniel Dobbie pulled them level when he volleyed home.

Five facts

- Stranraer and Stirling Albion fought out a 2-2 draw at Forthbank Stadium earlier this season. Last month, Stranraer loanees Zach Bruce and Lewis Gillie, along with former loan signing Joseph McGrath, returned to the stadium with Hibernian B. That game also finished 2-2.
- Saturday is the 38th birthday of former Stranraer forward Mark McGuigan. He followed in the footsteps of his dad Ian by joining the Blues. He made 80 appearances for Stranraer and found the net on 16 occasions before moving to Stenhousemuir. McGuigan first appeared against Stranraer for Albion Rovers, when he scored the winner. The Stranraer team visiting Cliftonhill that day was: Mitchell, Kinnaird, Dunlop (Wood 85), Staunton, McKeown, Aitken, Gallagher, Borris (Agnew 82), Winter (Wright 73), Malcolm, Love. Not used: Rafferty and Cadwell.
- Bobby Jeffrey was also born on November 7 and featured more than 15 times for Stranraer in the 1966-67 season. He, like Mark McGuigan, began his career at Celtic.
- The last three meetings between Stranraer and Stirling Albion have finished in draws. The last time there were four consecutive draws was in 2004. Michael Moore and Colin McKinnon scored in a 1-1 draw at The LIME Stadium at Stair Park before Frazer Wright joined Moore on the scoresheet at Forthbank before Craig Ferguson scored twice in the final 10 minutes. A 0-0 draw in Wigtownshire was then followed by a 1-1 draw at Forthbank – Paul Hay cancelling out David Graham’s opener.
- Stranraer have not had back-to-back goalless draws since April 2024. Then, 0-0 at Ainslie Park was followed by a 0-0 against Dumbarton.
