We are delighted to confirm that Luke Scullion, Dean Hawkshaw and James ‘Jinky’ Hilton are returning for the coming season at Stair Park.
A former Rangers youth prospect, goalkeeper Luke joined us from Partick Thistle in July 2021, having spent the previous six years at Firhill.
Scullion played 26 times in his first campaign with Stranraer after Curtis Lyle was injured.
He said: “Curtis getting injured was not a nice thing but it gave me a chance and I feel like I took it.
“Hopefully, I can make that position my own this season.”
Dean Hawkshaw rejoined the club in July 2021, having spent time at the Blues on loan in the 2017/18 season.
The creative midfielder notched up a total of five assists last season at Stair Park, scoring once.
Hawkshaw was “delighted” to sign on for another year and was hoping for a change of fortune.
He said: “It was a very stop start season for me, especially after the second game of the season when I tore my hamstring and was out for about four months.
“It started picking up towards the end and hopefully that is all behind me for this year.”
The midfielder, who set up Sam Ellis for the last goal of the season, felt adding a few players to key positions could have Stranraer challenging for the play-offs.
Finally, Hilton has been a regular in the first team since arriving in 2019, with his fearless attacking style and goalscoring exploits endearing him to Blues supporters.
A former Stranraer Academy pupil, ‘Jinky’ spent half of last term at Edinburgh City before returning to complete the season at Stair Park.
Back to full fitness, the midfielder finished the 2021/22 campaign in fine form and will be hoping to take that momentum into the new season.
All three players are now available to sponsor online.
