Midfield maestro Mark Russell has committed his future to the Blues, signing a new two year deal which will keep him at the Eco Gen Stadium until summer 2027.
Mark’s return to Scotland has seen the influential midfielder quickly become a favourite of the Stair Park faithful, as he currently leads the scoring charts with ten goals in all competitions.
The signing of Russell from Portadown was a major coup for the club, and his continued stay with Stranraer is something manager Chris Aitken was keen to make a reality.
Despite interest from other teams, Marky was keen to extend his time in Wigtownshire.
Mark said: “I couldn’t see myself going anywhere else.
“I’m loving my football, so I’m delighted to get it signed for the next two years.”
Mark Russell now joins Sean Docherty and Robbie Foster in being signed up for the upcoming 2025/26 season, with more news to follow soon.
