Scorers: Dobbie (21 and 37)
A Lewis Dobbie double helped Stranraer make it four games unbeaten.
The Blues were in impressive form, particularly in the first half, as they picked up three points against Kelty Hearts for the first time.
Chris Aitken named the same side that had raced into a two-goal lead against Stirling Albion seven days earlier.
However, there was no repeat of the second half at Forthbank where the Blues conceded twice to only leave with a draw.
Stranraer started in promising fashion with Zach Bruce crossing in for Archie Traynor.
The midfielder took a touch, with the ball sitting up to be hit, but he dragged his shot wide of the target.
Aaron Quigg then headed over from Finn Ecrepont’s corner as the Blues looked to find a breakthrough.
Ryan Shanley had fired straight at Max Currie but it would be the hosts getting in front on 21 minutes.
Daniel McManus, making his 50th appearance, collected the ball in midfield and played it out wide to Bruce.
The on-loan Hibs midfielder took time to look up and picked out Dobbie, who had found space in the box.
The striker then coolly stroked the ball home to give Stranraer a deserved advantage.
Kelty attempted to find a leveller with Shanley firing wildly wide and Robert Cole blasting over the bar.
However, it would be Stranraer celebrating the next goal and it came from the same combination.
Bruce flicked the ball on for Dobbie and the striker found himself with only goalkeeper Jamie Smith to beat.
He duly did just that as he curled a low shot round the shotstopper and into the bottom corner of the net.
It was a deserved lead for Stranraer but home fans could have been forgiven for thinking back seven days and to what had happened at Forthbank.
Callum Flatman came closest for Kelty but his header was diverted over the crossbar by Lewis Gillie.
The pressure never really materialised in clear-cut chances though and instead Stranraer should have wrapped up all three points just after hour.
McManus floated in a tempting cross and Seb Mason powered a header at goal, only for Smith to pull off a stunning save at close range.
As time wore on, Kelty fired in a series of dangerous corners but all credit to Currie, who managed to punch or push them to safety.
In the end, three very welcome points for Stranraer, who, in just a few short weeks, have risen up the League Two table and now sit in the play-off places.
