Stranraer recorded a draw in a lively opening friendly against European contenders Connah’s Quay Nomads at Stair Park.
The far-travelled Cymru Premier side were well matched by their League Two opposition, with Thomas Orr denied by an Andy Firth save from the spot early on.
Dylan Forrest broke the deadlock for the Blues within seconds of the restart, but John Disney levelled the scoring with a penalty on the hour mark.
Both sides opted to make several changes as the match ended in a stalemate, with Nomads set to face Icelandic opposition as they contest the Europa Conference League qualifiers in two week’s time.
Next for the Blues is a trip to Hurlford on Tuesday night, before meeting Ayr United at Dam Park on Saturday.
