Ryan Edgar will be playing at his hometown club this season after agreeing a new first team contract.
Beginning his journey at hometown team Millennium FC, Ryan headed north to Ayr to play for Valspar, before spending time at West of Scotland outfits Kilwinning Rangers and Auchinleck Talbot.
32 goals for Allan Jenkins’ South of Scotland side brought the striker to Scott Agnew’s attention, and strong performances at training earned him a spot in the first team squad at Dumbarton on 20 April.
Having impressed in a substitute appearance at Forfar the following week, Ryan wasted no time in scoring his first goal for Stranraer with a quick-thinking finish against newly-crowned champions Stenhousemuir on 4 May.
Rounding off an impressive debut season, Ryan’s perseverance won the crucial corner in extra time against East Kilbride, which saw Stranraer secure their league status.
To celebrate his signing, Ryan will be presented to home supporters at our friendly at home Larne on Saturday 22 June.
