Frequently asked questions

Q: Why am I getting an error message saying I can’t view the match from England?

All 42 SPFL clubs have been instructed by the Scottish FA to apply a geoblock due to the English FA activating their broadcast rights. This means that in order to comply with UEFA Article 48, live streaming content is sadly unavailable to our supporters in England.

We have a system in place to detect your location and prevent access, so we ask fans south of the border to assist us in complying with the SFA request.

Q: What if I can’t see the option for a one-game pass?

A: If the match in question is less than 24 hours away, you should see a one-game pass available on our “register to watch” page.

If you don’t see this, your browser is likely showing you an older version of the page. You will need to do what’s called a “force refresh” to see the latest options.

On some devices, this is simply a case of accessing the page and then holding down the CTRL key and pressing F5, but you can find further instructions on how to do this here:

Q: Do I need an access code?

A: There’s no access code required.

First, register and pay for the appropriate plan.

Then, sign in using the email address and password you used when you registered.

Within your account, you’ll see your Live Video link. Select this around 10/15 minutes before kickoff and you’ll see the video on the next page.

Q: I’ve ordered a Stranraer FC LIVE season subscription. Do I need a one-game pass for cup games?

A: Yes. You will need a one-game pass to watch any cup or playoff matches.

The Stranraer FC LIVE season subscription works like a season ticket, with only regular home league games included.

Q: Can I watch on a smart TV, Fire Stick or similar devices?

If your smart TV or streaming media player has a web browser (such as Chrome, Firefox or Silk), you should be able to watch the stream, but it’s best to get this set up ahead of time.

Once you’ve registered and paid on the website, enter in your smart TV’s web browser and sign in with your email and password.

Click the Live Video link 15 minutes before kickoff to watch the stream. Use the small square icon on the video to make it full screen.

If your TV does not have a web browser, you can connect a suitable device such as a laptop to your TV via an HDMI cable, or use a USB-C to HDMI cable or similar to connect your phone to your TV.

Q: I don’t have a PayPal account, how do I pay?

Our checkout gives you the option of paying by PayPal or by credit/debit card, so you don’t need a PayPal account.

Q: I’m experiencing buffering during the game, the video pauses and a circle appears?

Unfortunately, if you have slow internet you may not be able to watch the live coverage. If you encounter buffering during the match, this is likely to be the problem.

Our video is streamed in 1080p high definition to ensure a quality picture for viewers, so you’ll need a strong internet connection and a device capable of watching streaming full HD video.

If you’re in any doubt whether your connection can support full HD video, please run an internet speed test. Your download speed will need to be over 5mbps. If your connection is slower, see these tips on how to boost your internet speed.

If you have many devices (eg mobile, tablet, laptop) using the same connection, it may help to deactivate wi-fi on some of these devices.

Q: I’ve forgotten my password.

A: You can reset your password to get back into your account.
