Stranraer FC is committed to ensuring that all supporters have the opportunity to enjoy football at Stair Park in a safe, welcoming and accessible environment.

We recognise our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 and are dedicated to removing, wherever reasonably possible, barriers that may prevent disabled people from accessing our facilities and services.

Accessible facilities

  • Designated Area: We provide a dedicated viewing area within the main stand for disabled supporters and their carers. This space is flat, mostly covered, and reserved exclusively for disabled supporters.
  • Access: A wide gate and designated entrance/exit ensure wheelchair users and those requiring assistance can enter and leave easily. This gate is staffed by trained stewards throughout the match.
  • Toilets: Accessible toilets are located close to the accessible viewing area.
  • Steward Support: Our matchday stewards are trained to support and assist disabled supporters and their carers where required.

Seating arrangements

  • The dedicated disabled supporters’ area is primarily for wheelchair users.
  • Supporters with other disabilities who cannot safely or reasonably access general seating may request access to this area. Such requests must be made to the Club Administration Office no later than 24 hours before the fixture.

Parking

  • We have a limited number of accessible parking spaces at Stair Park. These are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
  • Stewards will be on hand to direct disabled supporters and their carers to the designated parking areas.

Support for blind and partially sighted supporters

  • With advance notice, and where practical, the Club will provide match commentary for unaccompanied blind or partially sighted supporters.

Our commitment

Stranraer FC will continue to:

  • Listen to the needs of disabled supporters.
  • Provide assistance wherever possible.
  • Ensure that the matchday experience at Stair Park is as accessible and enjoyable for disabled supporters as it is for non-disabled supporters.
