3Scorers: Stranraer - Bell (69); East Fife - Brown (28)

STEVEN Bell's header 20 minutes from time saw Stranraer come from behind to grab a point following a lacklustre first half display.

The Blues, who made two changes with Luke Watt and Christian Nadé coming in for Mark McGuigan and David Barron, who were missing through illness and injury, took much of the opening 45 minutes to find a rhythm.

In that time, East Fife's Jonathan Page and Chris Kane stung the palms of Cameron Belford from distance.

However, the opening goal would come from Stranraer losing possession in the opposition half.

Craig Malcolm lost the ball and the visitors broke through Kevin Smith, who held off the attention of Giuliano Morena.
Bell managed to get something on Smith's cross but the ball fell perfectly for Ross Brown, whose mishit shot deceived Belford and crept in.

Whatever Brian Reid said at half time clearly had the desired effect with Stranraer stepping up the pace after the break.

Craig Thomson was proving a real nuisance on the right against East Fife's player/manager Gary Naysmith and goalkeeper Mark Hurst did well to reach a cross from the on-loan St Johnstone man under his crossbar.

The leveller would come from another cross, this time from Willie Gibson's corner.

Bell rose highest and the ball crossed the line, despite some desperate defending on the line.
It was increasingly becoming one-way traffic and Liam Dick almost snatched an unlikely three points with a fizzing drive, which flew just over the bar.
