STEVIE FARRELL has captured his first loan signing of the season with the addition of midfielder Leon Murphy from Ayr United.

The 20 year old has made 11 appearances for Ayr, and joins us fresh from a season as a regular at junior side Glenafton Athletic where he chipped in with 4 goals.
Murphy joins former Renfrew keeper Dale Burgess and Hurlford standout James Hilton in making the switch from junior to senior football.

In addition, former Hearts and Dundee youth prospect Ian Smith has returned for a second season at Stair Park.

Ian - the younger brother of fellow Blues player David Smith - initially joined us following a six month loan stint at Edinburgh City, but an unfortunate knee injury curtailed his first season at Stair Park.

The left-footed midfielder impressed enough in the first half of his debut campaign to earn a deal, and brings our numbers up to 16 for the coming season.
