Once again, Stranraer FC regret to inform supporters that we have received reports of minor issues within the ground and disturbances at the end of the match in the Stair Park/London Road area after the recent Raith Rovers game on 4 August.

The incidents were reported to us by away fans and also witnessed by some of our home support. We have obtained film footage of certain individuals during the Raith game and some clear pictures from the Ayr United friendly fixture.

The club is working closely with the police to identify these people to ensure they no longer attend our games if they are going to continue to be a nuisance or cause a disturbance.

The club and police are also seeking assistance in identifying these so-called supporters, so we can root out these issues once and for all. Did you witness or know the names of any individual relating to trouble within Stair Park after the final whistle against Raith Rovers? You can either contact the police in Stranraer directly or approach any committee member with this information which will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.

As a club, we strive to ensure the safety and security of all fans attending the games.

Some recent behaviour has been totally unacceptable, and we will do all in our power to prevent such behaviour from occurring in the future. If you are one of these individuals causing bother, we will ban you from the club and this will include our youth teams. You may also be banned from every sports ground in the country.

Two banning orders will be issued this week and criminal charges have already been raised for individuals involved in the recent disturbances. Therefore, if you are a parent or guardian and your child attends the games, we need your support in having a word with them about their behaviour in and around the ground before they get dragged into something that can’t be defended.

We have many children/youths who attend games on their own, cause no issues at all and are very welcome but sadly, we have a minority who think it is acceptable to cause bother and it is these people we need to identify.
