Undeserved loss at Forthbank

Stranraer lost out by 3 goals to 2 at Forthbank today against a poor Stirling Albion side. Stranraer should have had the match sewn up by Half-time with Gregory Táde's fine volley from a great Mullen cross all they had to show for their efforts. Stirling equalised in the 51st minute when some slack defending allowed Grehan a free header. The Blues restored their advantage in the 66th minute when Andy Gibson's corner wasn't dealt with by Hogarth and Iain Dobbins calmly slotted the ball home from 12 yards. Stirling undeservedly equalised when Molloy slotted home to make the score 2-2 in the 70th minute. Stranraer began to press again and Mullen should have scored when he found space inside the box but he blasted his shot against the post from 8yards. The sucker punch came in the 78th minute when Molloy got his second with a looping volley over Black from 18 yards. This was a sore loss for the Blues to take today with so many of the team back on form. Next up for Stranraer is the South West Derby at Somerset next week against Ayr United.
